Exciting, dynamic, progressive and friendly dance club
Our socials are each "MAGNIFICENT MONDAY" night ONLY! We offer free dance lessons in several different dance styles (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Shag, Line Dance, etc.) Each year we host a major three day weekend event with dance clubs represented from Florida, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Virginia, plus many other states. Our average attendance for our three day parties is over 200 dancers.
Our yearly weekend event is "DANCE TO THE MUSIC" in which we feature several DJ’s, pro and semi-pro dance instructors with several different styles of dance lessons (swing, shag, cha cha, line dance, etc.), special hotel room rates, drink specials, food galore and our famous special signature meal on Saturday, A LOW COUNTRY SHRIMP BOIL.
We have hosted nine "DANCE TO THE MUSIC" events and are the only club in southeast Georgia to ever host a Association of Carolina Shag Club three day weekend workshop representing one hundred and two shag, bop and swing clubs. Additionally, since our founding in May, 2000 we have hosted 42 special weekend parties with special guest DJ’s and/or beach music bands. We have featured top-rated beach music bands for both regular weekend events and during our major yearly "DTTM" parties. We have had the privilege of featuring bands such as The Tams, The Drifters, The Swingin’ Medallions, Billy Scott and The Prophets, The Rickey Godfrey Band, The Flashback Band, Darryl and Allie Gatlin plus several others and Recording Artists/DJ’s Gary Bass, J.D. Cash, Gary Brown and Denny Martin.
Our club has always focused on providing dancers in The Coastal Empire area with special entertainment and dance events with major bands and guest DJ’s. And, we continue with that focus and tradition.
Membership in our club is a very simple and straight-forward process. There are no requirements to attend any boring, cumbersome, and sometimes contentious monthly meetings or submit to a membership approval vote. In fact, our club is a board-driven club with the Board of Directors assuming responsibility for all business decisions leaving members free to enjoy events. Everyone is welcome into club membership which provides special membership prices for all special events.
